Which image formats are supported?
The tool accepts formats that your browser can open. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported directly. Depending on the browser, GIF, BMP, SVG or AVIF may also be readable.
Is the image format preserved?
JPG, PNG and WebP are preserved. When a format can be read but not exported directly by the browser, the result is generated as PNG.
Does an animated GIF stay animated?
No. Browser-based cropping works on a static image. An animated GIF is therefore exported as a static image.
