When should you rotate or flip an image?
Rotation is useful when a photo is displayed the wrong way up or when a document was photographed sideways. Flipping is more useful for creating a mirror effect or reversing the image horizontally or vertically without changing its content.

Rotation and flipping: what is the difference?
Rotating an image changes its orientation in quarter turns, for example from portrait to landscape. Flipping does not rotate it: the image is reversed like in a mirror, horizontally or vertically. Both operations can be combined before downloading.
